‘CAN YOU?’ Viscom Seniors Challenge - NEW BEES
The whole division cooperated to arrange the occasion “CAN YOU”, with the help of staff and under graduates. Gowrishankar, a third-year student, and Joseph, a second-year student, were the event’s primary organizers. The Freshers Day event gave students a chance to show off their talents and creativity while also encouraging teamwork and collaboration. Drawing, dancing, poster designing, storytelling, and a 5-minute short film competition on the subject of drugs were among the competitions. These competitions were planned and held a month before the event and they were open to the Viscom department first-year freshmens.
The occasion got a staggering reaction from the new under graduates, who effectively took part in the different rivalries and drew in with their friends, seniors and staff individuals. In addiction to fostering a sense of community and encouraging students to engage with one another and the college, the event helped new students feel accepted and valued in the community. During the Freshers Day event, the winners of the various competitions were announced and given prizes. Students who participated in the short film competition were presented with trophies in a variety of categories, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Cinematographer, Best Editor and Best Director. Additionally, certificates were given to the winners of the drawing, dance, poster design, and storytelling competitions. Students received recognition and praise for their work, as well as constructive criticism. Students were able to showcase their creativity and skills on the occasion of the event, which also served to raise awareness of significant issues.
The rivalries were organized to advance cooperation and joint effort among under graduates and they urged under graduates to draw in with one another and the college. Additionally, the Freshers Day event assisted new students in getting to know the campus and its culture. New students were able to make new connections and break the ice at the various competitions, on-stage games and events, such as the final DJ dance performance by students and the balloon burst and dare games, which helped them feel more at ease and confident in their new environment. All in all, the Freshers day occasion and the different rivalries coordinated by the Branch of B.Sc. Visual Communication at Rathinam college were an incredible achievement.
The event promoted teamwork and

feel accepted and valued by the college community. Students were able to demonstrate their creativity and abilities through the various competitions, which also served
to raise awareness of significant issues. The event set
a positive tone for the reminder of the year and was an
excellent way to begin the new academic year.
